It has been four years since the launch of Nano urea by Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative (IFFCO) in India. Now, it is setting up its first overseas manufacturing plant in Brazil. The Plant will be setup in the joint venture between IFFCO subsidiary IFFCO Nanoventions and Brazilian firm NANOFERT. It is expected to produce 4.5 million litres of nano-fertilizers annually. IFFCO has already exported nano soil nutrients to over 40 countries including US, Brazil, Mauritius, Nepal and Bangladesh. The new facility in Curitiba, located in Brazil is expected to enhance IFFCO's global market presence and reduce export related costs. The aim is increased productivity of several crops such as corn, soybean, sugarcane, coffee and several other crops in the Soth American region where studies have shown increased yield with the reduced use of fertilizers on application of Nano-fertilizers imported from India.
